About the Course
Our General English courses are specifically designed for adult learners who wish to make steady progress in their English skills while balancing work, family, or other personal commitments.
The focus of every lesson is to build real-world communication skills by developing both fluency and accuracy. Whether you are preparing for further academic study, career progression, or daily life in the UK, this course prepares you to communicate with confidence.

Key Course Features

Age Requirement: 18+ years old

Available Levels: All CEFR levels from A1 (Beginner) to C1 (Advanced)

Small Class Sizes: Average of 6 students per class (Maximum 8 students) to ensure individual attention.

Study Locations: Available in Kingston Upon Thames (Monday to Friday) and Guildford (Tuesdays and Thursdays only)

Flexible Study Options: Study from 4 to 15 hours per week, with total course durations ranging from 4 weeks up to 43 weeks (Full Academic Year).​

Course Content and Learning Outcomes
Teachers utilize the latest courseware, interactive materials and real-world media tailored to your specific goals. Lessons focus on:

Speaking & Listening: Dynamic conversational practice to build natural phrasing, correct pronunciation, and listening comprehension across native accents.

Reading & Writing: Comprehension strategies for authentic texts and structured writing tasks.

Grammar & Vocabulary: Practical grammar instruction integrated directly into communicative tasks.​​

Assessment, Homework and Progress Tracking

Placement Assessment: Entry involves a 2-part test: a written online level test followed by a short interview (in-person or online via Google Meet).

Homework & Study Support: Regular, manageable homework is assigned. If you have time constraints at home, you are welcome to arrive early or stay late at school to complete assignments with teacher guidance.

Monthly Tutorials: You will meet 1-on-1 with your teacher every month to review progress, evaluate feedback, and adjust your personal learning goals.

Certification & Progress Reports: At the end of your studies, you receive an Official Certificate of Attendance stating your completed dates and achieved CEFR level (progress reports for employers are also available upon request)

.Optional Exam Pathways: Upon reaching your target level, you can choose to sit an official exam directly at our school (such as Trinity SELT / GESE or British Council Aptis) or register for external Cambridge Qualifications.
